Q: Hello, I am interested in purchasing 2 of the 1.60 carat all Heirloom sapphires set in 14k yellow gold, size 7.5. Am I correct in assuming that the sapphires are NOT lab created and that the color of the sapphires are like the color of the brilliant Ceylon sapphires? My plan is to wear a 14k yellow gold diamond infinity band in the middle. If I purchase 2, can we negotiate a lower price?

Hello Lou! Thank you for reaching out to us. The heirloom or AAAA grade features the highest quality sapphires offered on site. They have a beautiful deep rich blue color and have excellent transparency, display high degree of brilliance. Natural AAAA sapphires are the top 1% of sapphires in terms of quality. When heirloom quality is compared to best quality, the color intensity difference can be observed. Best quality sapphires have medium rich blue color. Natural AAA sapphires are the top 10% of sapphires in terms of quality. White gold looks very similar to platinum. The 14kt white gold has 58.5% pure gold combined with other alloy mixtures. If you are sensitive to any of the added metals you should purchase a platinum setting, as it is hypoallergenic and does not require rhodium plating to maintain its white color.
