Inc.’s 2023 Female Founders 200 List puts a spotlight on Angara co-founder Aditi Daga’s efforts toward creating a jewelry brand that celebrates individuality.
It’s no secret that women have been smashing the glass ceiling for decades now. And it’s an honor to have one of our very own, Angara’s co-founder, Aditi Daga, on this list… Inc.’s 2023 Female Founders 200 to be precise. A prestigious list graced by the likes of Jessica Alba, Kim Kardashian, Shonda Rhimes and Rihanna in the past, it recognizes and celebrates trailblazing women entrepreneurs across industries whose enterprising and risk-taking outlook is making the world a better place.
We’re proud that our leader, Aditi, has rightfully earned a spot on this list for her innovation and dedication toward creating a fine jewelry brand that celebrates women for who they are. “I am honored and humbled to be amongst a list of such accomplished women leading change across various industries. It inspires me to do more. But I truly believe that any good work is the product of a great team. We are proud that the Angara team has several divisions led by enterprising, driven and thoughtful female leaders who all lead differently,” says Aditi.
Aditi’s entrepreneurial journey began close to two decades ago, when she, along with her husband and Angara co-founder, Ankur Daga, were looking for a piece of jewelry to commemorate a milestone in their marriage. Sadly, nothing they saw really spoke to them or captured their relationship in a unique and memorable way. Everything was stamped out and commercial. Speaking with friends, they realized they weren’t the only ones who felt this way. Custom-made, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that celebrate individualism, personality and style were definitely the need of the hour. And that’s how Angara was born.
Backed by a family legacy of over 400 years, Aditi and her husband set out to combine the power of creation with the ancient energy of colored gemstones. They built a destination where women can get custom handcrafted jewelry with gemstones that resonate with them and speak to their soul. Aditi’s dream was for every Angara customer to be able to design jewelry that captured everything they wanted to say: in any stone, in any style, in any metal, in any setting. Today, she has managed to give women the power to create bespoke jewelry, without the long wait time and heavy price tag!
It’s safe to say that her aim has not just been business growth, but also building a jewelry brand that women love.
As she continues to inspire women to express themselves and celebrate life’s precious moments with color, we have no doubt there will be more success stories to come. So, stay tuned!
