When it comes to wardrobe transformation, only a handful can pull it off and make the A list. Kate Middleton is certainly one of them. The royal princess’s first public appearance, after announcing her pregnancy with her second child, was nothing less than stunning. The Duchess of Cambridge was glowing at both events attended.

For State Visit ceremonies, the princess wore a gray Alexander McQueen coatdress with a matching Jane Taylor hat. The dress showcased a tailored bodice, full skirt with flared sleeves at the wrist and angled pockets at the hip. The ‘Lupin’ style hat was previously worn on Easter Sunday, but the handbag was new. It was a Jenny Packham black suede ‘roxy style’ clutch featuring pleated material, Swarovski crystal clasp and a detachable snake chain.

Her jewelry included pearl drop earrings suspended from Kiki McDonough hoops, and a Mappin & Webb Empress Mini White Gold & Diamond pendant. Her sparkly earrings and pendant were complemented by her famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring. Her day to evening transformation was just as captivating. For the 2014 Wildlife Photograph Awards at the National History Museum in London, the duchess picked a completely unexpected, yet elegant dress. The powered blue Jenny Packham wrap dress featured a V neckline, three quarter sleeves and a cinched waist. Accessorized with a pair of silver chandelier earrings, a matching necklace, a nude box clutch and matching ankle-strap pep-tow heels, the sky blue dress was flattering.
