I have multiple piercings in my ears so anything larger would have been too big if I'm wearing other earrings with them. I also purchased the 1/4 carat basket-set diamond stud earrings to go in my second ear piercing. Together these earrings were a bit of a splurge but I wanted beautiful, classic, and premium quality earrings that I can wear everyday with any outfit and that won't irritate my ears like cheaper quality ones do. I have the same in silver and they were 300ish. My mom only likes yellow gold, so I had to get something she would like. Overall very beautiful, quality earrings. I hope she likes them as much as I do.
