I was in the market to find a ring for my lady, and I stumbled upon the Angara website. I found this breathtaking aquamarine GIA certified stone and beautiful ring setting made in platinum. I have never bought a piece of jewelry from Angara before, and had no idea what to expect in the way of their product quality, or customer service, etc... I knew I had 30 days, and if the ring wasn't up to my standards, and figured I can always ship it back for a full refund.
I went ahead and purchased the ring from Angara’s website, thinking everything was fine. They gave me an estimate on when the ring would be arriving, and I thought the transaction was comingleted.
A week before the ring was due to arrive, I got a call from Barbara, a Angara customer service rep. She informed me that the GIA-certified stone I thought I had bought, actually was purchased by another online shopper. Admittedly, I was disappointed and concerned. Barbara assured me, Angara would refund me my money right then and there if I would like, or they would select another stone to be sent out to GIA for certification and they would finish the ring. I thought for a moment, then asked her if I could sleep on it? Which I did.
The next day, I called her and agreed to have this new stone GIA certified, moving forward on this new ring. I am so glad I did, too! The ring is simply gorgeous. It far exceeds our quality, for the money criteria! Furthermore, Angara surprised us with a generously larger stone for our trouble. Everytime, I needed anything, I had Barbara’s direct line. No having to wait on hold forever. If I called her she called me right back, if she didn't answer her phone initially. Which she did most of the time!
In today’s online, over-promise and under-deliver mentality, Angara’s business model is just the opposite. They under promise and over deliver to their clients. You might be thinking, yeah right, but Angara has won me over!!!!
1.) The jewelry is better than advertised!
2.) If something happens to go wrong, they're prepared not only to help, but turn a sceptic into a lifelong customer!
Angara, you have earned my trust.
