I love my ring, it’s exactly what I wanted and so beautiful. It was my gift to myself for our 40th wedding anniversary on the 4th of July.

In !953, with a pretty sapphire and diamond engagement ring in my pocket, I proposed to my 19-year-old girl friend Rosemary. We had met the year previously on a coach taking young people back to their Norfolk villages from a dance at the Floral Hall ballroom, Gorleston. She was one of the last ones to board and as there seemed not to be a seat for her, I asked if she would like to sit on my knee. Fortunately, she said “Yes” both times and this year we celebrated 65 years as a married couple – the Sapphire Anniversary.

Once again I set about choosing a sapphire ring, although this time with the help of my wife, and fortunately came across www.Angara.com online with its wonderful selection. Together we found this sapphire half eternity band.
